Welcome to Beth's page. Our master knitter friend from Scotland has hand spun, hand dyed and hand knit this amazing collection and has generously donated them to Betseys Bonnets.
Rainbow
SOLD
Rainbow is a soft pull on hat in mixed merino shades worked as a rainbow pallette. It is very soft and will fit as medium to large head. Ideal for tender scalps.

Orange Grove

Orange Grove has a stuffed brim knitted in Corriedale and stuffed with rare Icelandic wool.The main body of the hat is from a specially designed yarn made of mixed merinos and dyed kid mohair with a small amount of trilobal gold to give it metallic glitter.The top is gathered with an orange silk ribbon.

Rolled Brim Burgandy Handspun Handknit Hat

Secure - is a box stitch design with a rolled stuffed brim filled with welsh black fleece. Its a big size and would easily accommodate a 23 inch crown size. The wool is 100% merino.

Frosty is a traditional Fair Isle pattern in merinos and is a big size intended for a man.
A Tam o'shanter is a Scottish bonnet worn by men which was named after a character invented by Robert Burns. The bonnet is made of wool with a toorie (pompom) in the center, and the crown is about twice the diameter of the head. It might be available in plain colors or in different tartans.

Ski Hat with white band handspun wools

Chainlinks is a soft merino band but the crown is made of mixed and blended shades of natural cashmere and the yarn cost a fortune to make. The hat is embroiderd with little coloured beads and silk thread. Very soft and cosy for a delicate skin.
Cluster is made to a commercial American pattern. The blue and purple base colors are Corriedale wool and the embellishments are of grapes and vine leaves in corriedale and merino.

Chile is large enough for men or to allow those with long/thick hair to pile it high and have ears covered with hat secured under chin for snowboarder, skidoo or skiers.

Penelope has an outer Fair Isle band of Corriedale with a white Merino pattern. The crown is blends of merino, dyed kid mohair an corriedale spun into a unique single batch of yarn.

Tam o'shanters are worn by the Scottish infantry regiments of the British Army instead of berets. They are plain khaki in color and are stiffer than civilian tam o'shanters, with a narrower, flat crown often worn sloping down from back to front.
